La Donna Urick

Executive Director / Co-Founder

La Donna is the Executive Director of Mission Change, and Co-Founder along with her husband Todd. She is an Albany native, and has traveled to Haiti and lived on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera with her husband and two daughters, Emma and Lily, doing mission work.

She oversees the day to day operation of the organization and works with neighbors in the community to understand the needs in our city. Organizing Monthly Missions, the Serve Teams, and serving alongside Sarah at The Village After-School Program is just a taste of what Mission Change is made of.

Her favorite colors are red and yellow, she loves to sing in her spare time, and loves to be with her multi-talented hubby, Todd, and their two girls. She loves shooting weddings with Todd, recording special motion moments that will last a lifetime, as well as serving alongside her family through church and community opportunities that come available.

One of LaDonna’s favorite quotes is by Mother Teresa:

“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”

Sarah is our Middle School Village Staff person and MC Liaison. She has been with us since January 2014, and has been and awesome asset to Mission Change since joining us! From planning the weekly activities for our middle school aged kids at The Village to helping host our SERVE teams and Monthly Missions, she stays pretty busy.

She traveled to Alaska for 6 months with her hubby serving those in need, and once they came back to Albany she longed to continue to serve others. She loves the outdoors, traveling, and having a mini garden in her loft.

Her favorite color is yellow. She loves the water, and she has a HUGE heart for community! She is married to a talented musician and EMT, Anthony.

A few of her favorite quotes:
“God intended us to travel through life in community. Think bus, not unicycle.”
“We’ll become what we accumulate the most of. Gather love.” -Bob Goff

Rebecca Whitehead

Rebecca is our Village Program Coordinator. She began working for us as an intern with our Middle and High School students at The Village in the fall of 2015. In January of 2016, Rebecca joined us as an official staff member. She plans activities for our after-school program, coordinates with community partners, and helps host our SERVE teams.

She has always aspired to make a difference in the lives of others and working for Mission Change allows Rebecca to fulfill her love of helping and serving others.
Rebecca’s favorite color is purple. She loves to watch Netflix with her hubby, Brent, and spend time with their 3 Australian Shepherds. During football season, Rebecca and her family spend the weekends cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs! She enjoys painting, decorating, gardening, cooking and travelling.

One of Rebecca’s favorite quotes:
“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” Martin Luther King Jr.

Kelley Spindle

Kelley is the Village facilitator for our elementary school kids. She has always wanted to serve others and has found the perfect opportunity to do so through Mission Change! Kelley loves spending time with her husband, Brantley, and three beautiful children, whom she homeschools. She loves gardening, reading, coloring, traveling, and helping out at her family’s bowling alley. Her favorite show is “Little House on the Prairie,” and when pressed about her favorite color, tried to claim the whole rainbow, before eventually settling on pink and purple.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. ” – Helen Keller
