Mission Change "Hope for the Hungry and Homeless Sleep Out"

Event: 7pm-7am
Why: Raising awareness on homelessness and hunger in our area and how YOU can get involved locally in your hometown! Also, we will be raising funds to continue our misisons here in Albany and surrounding areas to better our communities and give hope to those who have lost it. Let's continue this Revolution together!

WHERE: Park at the corner of 1st Avenue and Davis Street
Chose to spend a few hours Saturday May 22nd investing in the lives of the impoverished children of Albany. We will have fun for the entire family as we share time with these precious children doing inflatable games, tug of war, sack races, and so much more! Don't forget banana relays too!! OH YEAH!!

One Heart is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner with the Hungry and Homeless down at the Dray Line in Albany, GA. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve dinners starting at 11am. There will be live music throughout the day. This is a wonderful event and another oppotunity for us to Serve our neighbors in need. Please contact us with any additonal questions.

Albany-Dougherty Homeless Coalition Community Resource Fair and Homeless Health Screening Fair - Will be held on Saturday Novermber 14th at First Presbyterian Church 220 North Jackson, Albany, GA. Registration begins at 9:30 with workshops starting at 10:00a.m. The Unthinkable Project, facilitated by Jonathon Goode, will be the morning workshops for the public. We are participating in the "Action Against Homelessness Plan" meeting/workshops. We have been pushing for a plan since the Sleep-Out in January and now agencies, providers, and concerned citizens are taking action and drafting a plan to end this social injustice in our city. Updates will be posted on our Blog page.
