MONTHLY MISSION: MARCH

March Monthly Mission: Renovating for Recovery!

Have you had your life impacted by any addiction...from yourself, family members, or friends? It is a very challenging recovery to get through on your own...BUT it is pretty awesome to have someone walk through it with you. This is what Graceway Recovery does for the women in our community.

This organization assists women who have dealt with alcohol and drug abuse. Grace Way provides all assessments, treatment services, groups, counseling, meetings, lodging, meals, utilities, transportation, recreation, exercise opportunities, laundry access, in a safe, loving home environment. They also offer their experience, strength and hope. Grace Way accommodates up to 15 women seriously seeking long-term sobriety by working an intense recovery program.

So, your asking yourself...how in the world can I make a difference by serving with Grace Way? Well, here is your chance, especially if you a handy man or woman!

Mission Change volunteers will be renovating a home that has been donated to Grace Way for the residents, employees, and the community. There will painting, demo-ing, fencing, yard work, and much more to be done on this particular day. If you have these skills, please join us in helping renovate for recovery!

Debbie Mazur, Founder & Director, along with Liz Dixon, Development Director, will be looking forward to meeting you a week early if you would like to see the home itself and know what you will be working with. Please contact her for more details: (229)446-4550.

We also have a needs list from Grace Way if you would like to donate items to their cause. They are as follows:

*Postage Stamps

*Pre-Paid Phone Cards

*White Twin Sheet sets

*Gain Laundry Detergent

*Paper Towels

*Toilet Paper

*Gift cards/certificates (Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, grocery stores)

****APPLIANCES: Semi –commercial refrigerator, freezer, stove, dishwasher and microwave to replace old “exhausted” appliances that have served thousands of meals to hundreds of women and families since the opening the recovery residence .

If you would like to bring paint brushes, painting cloths, ladders, hammers, your lawnmowers, clippers, etc to help or donate to this mission...it would be a blessing for the day or for the long haul!

ALL VOLUNTEERS please meet at 421 Residence Ave.
You may reach this destination by taking Jefferson Ave. off the Expressway and taking a left onto Residence.
