From Friday June 26- Sunday June 28, Mission:Change had a vendor tent at the 2009 Athfest in Athens, GA.  This is a festival highlighting the Athens music, arts and film scene.  Through the sell of mission:change shirts and necklaces we were able to raise enough funds to house 22 homeless men at The Healing Place (shelter in Athens), provide enough food for approx. 360 food insecure men, women and children through the Food Bank of Northeast GA and raise much needed awareness and funds for Easton's medical expenses.  This hopefully just the beginning of a great partnership with mission:change and the Athens community.

We have received some great news!  The Albany Debutante Club has chosen Mission:Change as their main charity to fundraise for this year.  We want to thank Kelsey Richter for nominating us and the debutantes for their votes.  Mission:Change will receive up to $10,000 which will go directly towards the monthly missions and efforts to help end hunger and homelessness in Southwest GA.  The Debutante's are hosting a golf tournament, "Birdies for Charities".  It will be held on Monday, July 13th at Doublegate Country Club in Albany GA.    We are so grateful for the Debutantes and encourage everyone to spread the word about their "Birdies for Charities Golf Tournament".
