Mission Change is a hands-on, volunteer-driven non-profit organization located in Albany, GA that aims to highlight and serve the people and causes in everyday communities that often go overlooked and underfunded.
The heart of Mission Change is our Monthly Missions, a chance to work first hand with those in need in our community. Whether it's performing much needed maintenance on a shelter for women and children escaping abuse, packing boxes for the local Food Bank, or simply spending a fun-filled Saturday playing games with at-risk, inner-city kids, every month features another opportunity to affect positive change in the world outside your door.
Housed in the middle of one of Albany's lowest-income, highest-crime neighborhoods, the Village is Mission Change's after-school program designed to guide 25 area students into becoming strong stewards of the community.
Five days a week, the Village offers homework help, tutoring, and extra sessions like art, reading, educational games, and community service projects.

Our Serve Teams program offers groups of out-of-town volunteers a chance to learn how best to serve their communities by helping the people and organizations in need within our own.
This week of hands-on work has a way of changing not only the lives of those being helped, but equally those doing the serving.
Mission Change's annual Sleep Out is a unique night of community fundraising in which participants spend the night outside in a cardboard box, tent or other makeshift shelter.
Although we could never recreate the real-life experience of what it is truly like to be homeless, sleeping out for the night can help us all focus on how to make a difference in ending the widespread hunger and homelessness right here in our area.
Whether it's a Monthly Mission, a SEWN (Sunday Evenings With our Neighbors) meal, a Sleep Out, or another local event, there's always something going on at Mission Change.
